After writing about The Amanda Emblem Experiment through The Wood, we now find Amanda returning with Lazy Sunday, a three-track release that gives a new shape to songs already loved by listeners while adding a fresh piece to the picture. Built around space, simplicity, and a relaxed acoustic spirit, the EP feels like a natural continuation of her world, but with a more focused and immediate format.
Across the release, the production feels beautifully organic, keeping the performances warm, soothing, and close to the listener. The folk foundation is clear, but it comes with a classic, easygoing flavour that makes the songs feel timeless rather than nostalgic. “Blue Skies Calm Seas” and “Old Romantic” lean more into the guitar side of Amanda’s sound, carrying hazy textures and a laid-back atmosphere that fits perfectly with the rural, kitchen-table feeling behind the writing.
