Gravité Fresq – “Curry Sauce”
Gravité Fresq Make Digital Chaos Sound Ridiculously Addictive on “Curry Sauce”
Gravité Fresq’s “Curry Sauce” takes one of the strangest modern frustrations, arguing with an AI tool that absolutely refuses to understand the brief, and turns it into a sharp, funny, high-energy electro-punk track. The premise is absurd in the best way: an AI image generator forgets the passport, transforms into a nagging Irish mother, and sends the whole situation spiralling toward the kitchen drawer next to the curry sauce. It’s ridiculous, but also weirdly relatable.
The sound sits in a very peculiar lane, somewhere between post-punk, indie dance, electronic rock, and synth-heavy new wave. The synths and drum machine give the track its nervous mechanical pulse, creating a groove that feels stiff, frantic, and danceable at the same time. That combination brings to mind the strange swagger of Viagra Boys mixed with some of The Voidz’s more warped electronic instincts, but Gravité Fresq keep the tone fully their own through the humour and Irish delivery.
The vocal performance gives the song a huge amount of personality. The deadpan rhythm, rising frustration, and sharp phrasing make the story feel like a comedy sketch trapped inside a club track. Every line feels deliberately chosen, especially as the chorus turns into this absurd domestic command that becomes catchier with every repetition.
